Go old school with powder for guilt-free clean laundry with etee Concentrated Laundry Detergent. It's formulated to be effective with HE washing machines. Add 1 teaspoon per load, according to your machine's instructions. It even works on its own in hard water! Washing soda (soda ash) binds to the minerals to soften the water and boosts performance of C9-11 Pareth-6, a non-ionic surfactant. Without a charge, the cleaning agent will not wash out with the minerals and cause scum on your fabrics. etee's detergent is perfectly safe to use on all colors and kinds of materials. It won't fade dark colors like traditional clothing cleansers that incorporate bleach and ammonia. For heavily soiled fabrics, like reusable cloth diapers or gardening clothes, they can not only come out clean, but odor free!. This detergent is formulated to be fragrance-free. Any scent you detect is a natural product of the ingredients themselves, and won't linger. Ingredients: Soda Ash, Sodium Silicate, C9-11 Pareth-6, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Borate, Sodium Percarbonate, Tetra Acetyl Ethylene Diamine, Enzymes, Surfactants, Optical Brightener. When used according to instructions, no residual soap remains on clothing. This means the potential for a reaction from people with sensitive skin is low. The most environmentally friendly detergent and packaging I have ever used.

This is the most environmentally friendly detergent I have ever used. Let's start with the packaging first. It is packaged in a paper mailbox that I was able to compost in my compost bin. The product itself is then packaged in a TekPak bag with a "broadly degradable” plastic barrier. This is new to me, and when I look at it, it seems to biodegrade much faster. They are still made from petroleum, but better than the traditional plastic liner. As for the detergent itself, I'm amazed at how little

It seems to work well, but it's expensive and not very practical.

First, there is some sizing confusion in the description and packaging of this product. The product description says 30 tablespoons in the pack but says 60 elsewhere. 30 tablespoons seems correct. The description also says you should use one teaspoon per load ("according to your machine's instructions", which is a meaningless definition - your machine's instructions don't tell you how much of that particular detergent to use), but the packaging says to use a tablespoon. My pocket says to use 1 TBS per download. Nothing about teaspoons or using more or less depending on soil level. Simply "Use 1 TBS per download". That's how I did it and it seems fine. However, this product description says to use 1 teaspoon (for light soil) and 1 tablespoon for heavy soil. Again, it is ONLY in the product description, not on the bag. So keep that in mind when purchasing as it doesn't state it on the packaging. Another place I noticed is where it says this bag contains 30 TBS =
