My pocket says to use 1 TBS per download. Nothing about teaspoons or using more or less depending on soil level. Simply "Use 1 TBS per download". That's how I did it and it seems fine. However, this product description says to use 1 teaspoon (for light soil) and 1 tablespoon for heavy soil. Again, it is ONLY in the product description, not on the bag. So keep that in mind when purchasing as it doesn't state it on the packaging. Another place I noticed is where it says this bag contains 30 TBS = 90 downloads and another where it says this bag contains 60 TBS for 180 downloads. This is a big difference, so I hope it gets clarified so potential buyers can make a choice based on clear information. By the way, my bag says "30 TBS". Let's just say I like it. I like the Mylar bag with a pressurized zipper. It takes up almost no space. I might switch to a small container with a lid, but for now I'm digging into the envelope style. Just use your own measuring device. I rounded up 1 TBS for a large load. Some downloads have basic soiling levels, but I have a few heavy soilings, either from dirty dog paw towels or my house cleaning shop. In the latter case, I recommend washing in hot water with a regular but deep-cleaning detergent. No plasticizers or other nonsense. I just want thoroughly clean rags that aren't compromised by additives (which can reduce the rag's absorbency or cause irritating streaks). Sometimes I make my own detergent for this reason, but more often I'm too lazy and just buy the finished product. This dry product works. It has a fresh, clean scent that comes from the main ingredients used. If you need special scents, just add a few drops of homemade essential oils. The dry granules dissolve completely whether I use hot or cold water. Very good! I'll try "1 teaspoon" on my next boot, but I bet I keep using more as I can't resist. lol 4 stars but I'll consider buying it again if I find I still like it after reviewing this bag. I will update if necessary. Again, hopefully they will clarify the information on their packaging and also here in the product description. Otherwise 5 stars.
