I have a Zendra (brand) glass top desk for my home office. This table has a tubular metal frame to which a glass top is attached. (Many similar glass-topped tables are designed this way.) I use a table stand over a glass-topped table. The desktop stand prevents light from reaching the keyboard under the glass cover. When trying to mount this light bar, I couldn't use the magnetic mount (which came with the package) as it was mounted too low (thus interfering with the keyboard). the tray slides in and out under the table.) I ended up using long zip ties to attach the light bar directly to the table's metal tube frame, under the glass top but above the keyboard tray. The button to turn the lightbar on and off is located on the end cap of the lightbar, making it easy to turn on and off. I bought a 5 watt plug in version of this lightbar (no battery). . This light bar is adjustable but I use it at a maximum brightness of 5W. (The only thing I would have liked was a little brighter than 5W.) I'm also glad I didn't get a motion-sensing-style light bar. (I needed a reliable continuous light source.) FYI: Since I'm using a table top on a glass top of a table, the light from this light bar doesn't go through the glass top above and brightly focuses the light from it. with the keyboard tray pulled out, towards the keyboard tray. Check out my photos of the keyboard tray with the "on" and "off" light bar. I just installed it today, so I can't consider long-term use of this item at this point. Also, I paid full price for this item and received nothing in return for my honest review.
