I'm surprised they don't sell that well in art supply stores. They are great value and the manufacturer offers a wide range of colors to choose from. I often use them in combination with the same manufacturer's "extra fine", "soft" and "semi-hard" pastel lines. Layering on these handmade oil soft pastels. While I'm sure pastel artists can use them anywhere, I'm a crafter (and even that is a stretch feature) and appreciate painting and coloring underneath the rest of the Mungyo line before moving on to these little ones. I also have a more expensive brand but they seem to work just as well for less money. And as I understand it, the light fastness of paints is not inferior to a more expensive brand. Several kits have been gifted to friends with more skill than me and they expressed my appreciation. This particular set has a useful range of colors. Rest assured you will be very satisfied.
