Good packaging in general

Good packaging overall. For the price I think it's a pretty good product. I just installed this on my mom's 2013 Ford Cmax. Installation was easy (took 2 hours). It requires minimal technical knowledge. Anyone who knows their way around the wrench on cars and can splice wires should be able to handle it. The instructions are a little lacking, but were easy to understand. The camera mount works well and looks pretty neat bolted to the license plate. I routed the wires into the tailgate through a small hole next to the license plate light. I had to remove the inner plastic trim on the tailgate (the hardest mechanical part of it all) to get to the wiring harness. the reversing light is switched on. I connected and soldered them. A long RCA cable has a small wire on each end. This wire also connects to the 12V+ reverse light. This is the "wake up" line, signaling that the monitor is on. The monitor itself is powered from another source at the front of the vehicle (ignition or included 12V outlet). If you do everything right, the monitor will only turn on when you put the car in reverse. I hid the cable under a molding and mounted the monitor on the front dash. I printed a magnetic mount that holds the monitor. Easy to remove and looks clean! The picture is decent and of course good enough. I did notice some flickering in the image, but it was just a minor annoyance. So far, so good.
