Well, first of all, I've just transitioned from the iOS ecosystem to the Android world and I love my shiny new Samsung Galaxy Note 10. So this Fossil Gen 5 release date was a fluke that coincided with my decision decided to upgrade to Android Edition and Note 10 as my old Apple Watch doesn't work with my new Android phone. Absolutely blown away by the sleek design of the Fossil Watch and how easy it connects to my Note 10. Aesthetically I like it better than my Apple Watch; was even praised for his good looks. And the charm just stopped there. I wish the screen was brighter. I set the brightness to 5 (maximum) and it still doesn't seem bright enough to me. And battery life. In just 6 hours of use, my watch went from 100% to 24%! Well, the watch has Advanced and Time Only modes in addition to Daily mode (with all smarts enabled). I looked at the Advanced mode setting and noticed that all features in the watch are disabled except you can press the crown to wake the watch, notifications and vibration are on, and Bluetooth is available from 6am. only at 22:00. All cool options like speakers, Wi-Fi, Wake on Touch, Wake on Tilt, NFC, OK, Google Discovery options are disabled. Let us; I bought a smartwatch for a reason. Otherwise I would have gotten a very amazing and capable non-smart watch for $295. Let's not even imagine what the third option "Time Only" would do to my watch. Maybe every time I needed to check the time on my watch I had to call Fossil customer service and they either turned on the display for 10 seconds or just told me over the phone what I wanted to know from my watch! I'm hard but can't help myself coming from a perfectly good smartwatch (apple watch) that doesn't work with android phones and that's all you have left. Fossil, I urge you to work on the battery drain and brightness - that needs to be fixed on this watch. Otherwise, you'll just end up with customers like me who aren't all happy with that purchase. I will not recommend this watch, at least not until Fossil at least fixes the battery issue!
