The rubber hose supplied with this device not only spoils the taste of the water but is also poisonous. I couldn't believe how bad the water tasted when I first tried it, but I went ahead and drank half a glass of water, thinking I'd get used to it, but had to throw the rest of the water away. Then an hour after I drank I felt a strange feeling of fullness and soon my head started pounding like never before. My heart wasn't beating, it just seemed like someone was pumping extra blood into my head with pulses. I looked at the comments and saw that many others complained about the taste and then looked at the microscopic instructions. At the very bottom was a note that the test tube can be boiled for several minutes, which I did twice. But the tube still smelled bad, so I left it overnight and soaked it in Dawn dish soap for three hours the next morning. But there was nothing to get rid of the smell. However, I tried again, just a small sip this time, and while it was better, the horrible taste was still there. I informed Revane of the problem and they promised to take care of it. I am writing this review in the hope that it will protect others from getting sick. And for God's sake, please don't give water from this thing to children or babies.
