Measuring 14 inches in length they are nice and long making them great for knitting flat things without resorting to circular knitting. So far I've only used 1 set of cotton with sugar and cream, but they seem smooth. No catch. I think thinner bamboo needles can bend from heavy use, heat from your hands etc, but they work great. I believe you can steam and smooth them out. I really only needed medium sizes, so I removed the very thin ones and the very thick ones. The price is right.
