I ordered these for a friend who was complaining about her needles and how difficult they were to use. She wanted bamboo but wasn't sure she could justify the cost. Come on! Wait a minute! How many did you say there were? We were together when the package arrived and she kept talking about how convenient and easy they are to use. I think they were a hit!

I wasn't sure what to get with them as you get so much for such a low price. Although I'm glad I chose to do it. I didn't find them too bulky, although they don't seem to be as durable as the individual pairs I bought at a craft store. But since I paid the same amount for these as I did for two pairs of wooden craft needles, they're worth it. So if you're a handyman on a budget like me, this is a smart buy.

Measuring 14 inches in length they are nice and long making them great for knitting flat things without resorting to circular knitting. So far I've only used 1 set of cotton with sugar and cream, but they seem smooth. No catch. I think thinner bamboo needles can bend from heavy use, heat from your hands etc, but they work great. I believe you can steam and smooth them out. I really only needed medium sizes, so I removed the very thin ones and the very thick ones. The price is right.

Just received the needles. Just knit a sample with bamboo and silk yarn. The needles are very sharp, the yarn will NOT break. These very sharp ends are useful when working in lace patterns with very fine yarn. I like to have 18 needle sets on hand whenever I feel like knitting. I live in a tropical country where knitting is not part of their culture. That saved me a lot of time. I rarely find time to write reviews about my purchases but this is an exception. This is my first time using bamboo needles and I will never go back to metal, wood or plastic. I was skeptical about ordering a set because it was inexpensive but high quality, smooth finish, straight, lightweight knitting needles and how good they feel in my hands while knitting; I only switch to bamboo.
