This is a great "dog hammock" to protect the back seat of passengers with dogs. It fits perfectly in the back seat of my Toyota Corolla and might work well in a slightly larger car but is probably too small for full protection in a really big car. Door panels during transport, as well as to protect the sides and edges of the seats when loading a large dog that drives under its own power without getting into the car. The fabric is heavy. Webbing slots make it easy to attach dog restraints in the event of a violent maneuver or accident. I also find it useful for transporting goods like grocery bags and preventing items from falling on the floor. The rear seat converts quickly and easily so that dog and human can share the rear seat, or can be removed completely if the dog is staying at home and space for additional passengers is needed. This system is much better than the one it replaces and costs less.
