I am writing this review after using this product for almost a year. Not sure if it's because I put it in the dishwasher, but the whole hammer got sticky and there's this weird black paint/residue that comes off. If I put a chicken breast in a bag and thresh the chicken through the bag, the black paint on the bag comes off. very strange. And I can't explain why it's sticky, and no matter how many times you wash it, it never stops being sticky. You get what you pay for. I suggest buying a slightly more expensive one that you don't have to throw away after a year.
