Review on Atlantic 38435713 Oskar Media Wall by Lisa Simmons

I don't usually write reviews but I have assembled many of these types of cabinets and shelves and this was the worst and most disappointing product I have ever bought . The design of this cabinet is not a single 6ft vertical cabinet, it is actually two 3ft cabinets that need to be connected with wooden dowels and metal pins that need to be held together by rotating bolts. But the particle board material was of such low density that the plastic bushings on the "upper" cabinet, into which the metal pins from the "lower" cabinet were to be inserted and fastened, pulled out all the way and did not remain in their holes. This prevented the locking bolts on the opposite panel from catching the pins from below and holding the two cabinets together. This meant that the two halves of this cabinet could not be aligned and connected by stands. As soon as one pin was almost fixed, the others started to wobble. Much cursing ensued and the woman wasn't very happy when I asked her to stand up and hold one of the two cabinets while I tried to level the other cabinet. The only way to line up the two cabinets was to flip them over and hammer the two back panels into both, then flip the wobbly 6 foot assembly vertically and drill holes to install my own "L" brackets . (not included) to hold it upright and apply glue between the pin holes. It took a lot of nails on the back to align the two cabinets so I could drill holes and mount the L brackets. Also in the box were two panels with the same labels, although the instructions said they were two separate panels. See photo. I was supposed to put everything back in the box and send it back, but once you realize the pinholes are broken and have the required L-brackets installed, you "buy" the product. What should have taken an hour ended up taking five and cost me more money for L-brackets which are the only way to connect two cabinets together. And again, this is not a massive piece of solid wood furniture with a vertical top, but two small, low-quality cabinets attached to each other "in a chorus and a lie”. I'm still seeking a refund from Revain but I'm not holding my breath. DO NOT BUY!
