I have an old steel combination square but I wanted to improve the accuracy. The ruler part is better than my old speed in terms of metric and traditional numbering. What disappointed me is that it is not etched as the description says so I bought the instrument. It also has a scratch that could be confused with gradation. My observation is that turning this blade back and forth wears down the workpiece.
