bedside tables are same as picture and size. Since I only use it for the lamp and clock radio, the lid is big enough for a drink. Fiberboard will not resist spills unless dried promptly and will not withstand abuse. Overall, the table is pretty flimsy, but that's why it's only $65! This is NOT a tree, but a fiberboard. If I needed bedside tables for lots of books or heavier items, the drawer wouldn't work. The door below is perfect for some books 📚 and a duvet. The assembly instructions with the 2nd bedside table went more smoothly, but the husband said there were too many languages written. I only gave it 4 stars because the bedside table is for looks only and it goes very well with my early American style white headboard. Good value for money.
