Really very decent pajamas! I've had various brands from JC Penny or Dillards in the past, none of which were 100% cotton like this one (usually 60-70% cotton mixed with synthetic fibers). Yes, they feel a little rough and less smooth, but in my experience that's to be expected from any good pair of durable pajamas. It always takes several months of repeated washings until they are completely smooth and perfectly comfortable. Think of it like a beautiful leather boot pear. They must be crushed! (And you can always cheat and use dryer sheets or fabric softener in the meantime, but I don't have to). I mean, I don't want to give the wrong impression, they're super comfortable right off the bat! It's just that I was a little concerned when I saw other reviews complaining about roughness, so I only bought 2 pairs to test at first and found them to be a good fit for my skin, although they are definitely less soft than 10 year old pajamas. ). And that's the point. Quality cotton like this will be LAST. It's an investment you can literally wear every night for years and even decades. I still have 20 year old sets that are still usable (although countless washes have made them so thin and worn that I'm afraid they'll tear, and anyway, like I said, they don't quite fit me). by some weight in the era of Covid). But don't talk. They are of decent quality and I expect them to last for decades. NOW: Let's move on to the cons. Drawstrings in pants have a sewn-on end that isn't big enough to prevent it from being accidentally pulled and lost in the waist of the pants, a notable design flaw. I was able to get around this by simply tying a small loop at the very end of each side, but I have to say this is a real problem and I hope the manufacturer fixes it in the future. On the other hand I bought 8 pairs so I doubt I will buy them again in a very long time! I'll update this review if I run into any durability issues and possibly document the time it takes for them to fully break in. If this review hasn't been updated and is mostly a thing of the past, consider it a clear endorsement of what appears (at least from first impressions in a week or so) to be a quality and practical clothing set that's meant to last.
