I might say I didn't use this as a tube brush, but for my purposes it was just what I needed. As a man with old cast iron radiators, I was looking for something that would help me clean out the dust that had accumulated between sections over the last 60 years. It helped: It was hard enough to pull out 0.5 inches of old dust and pet hair that was just there, but soft enough not to scratch the paint in the process. another, narrower brush (runs across the radiator sections, and this went forward between them) but unless you have material there that has accumulated over decades, this will probably do the trick.
