I was sad to return these shoes. They just don't fit like they should. I have a used pair of the same Robeez shoes my niece wore 13 years ago and my oldest daughter who is now 5 years old. Love them and still use this 13 year old pair for our new baby. They have held up exceptionally well to baby's crawling and still fit perfectly. I bought this pair because I wanted the child to have their own pair and I liked the stand out designs/colors. Unfortunately I had to return them upon arrival. They just can't match the quality of the Robeez, which explains why this pair is half the price. While the quality of the leather was good, the tightness of the elastic around the ankle was poor, with one boot being noticeably tighter and more flexible than the other. But the main reason for my return was the overall fit. The material that wraps around the arch of the foot is not long enough under the toe, where it is sewn to the salable part (sewn to just my pinky width compared to the Robeez which is worth attaching at least two toes to). The fabric hidden under the sock gives the ankle rubber too much freedom and allows it to pop out of the upper part of the shoe. This exposes the unsightly elastic center of the shoe's forefoot and causes the shoe to stretch, oversize and fall off easily. If you've never owned another brand of crib shoes like this, you might think that's how they work, but they should fit your baby's foot exactly as pictured. Too bad, because the design of this company is very cute and much cheaper.
