That is so cool !

Nice and heavy! I really like it, the box is wooden with a nice metal clasp hook, the box itself is a great display. I didn't notice any improvement in sound. If you're reading the manual for my Technics SL-Q300 direct drive turntable, be warned not to use any of these weights. I agree, the item on top of the box looks great on the music shelf next to my turntable. I play guitar so I love the graphics, I have it in blue, the graphics are awesome! I would take it just because it's cool! So even if you don't notice any improvement in sound, you have a really good accessory to show off!

Pros

ENHANCED SOUND - Improves record-to-disc contact and reduces transmission of unwanted vibration to the stylus. By reducing extraneous vibrations, distortion is reduced - for better detail, tighter bass and an overall improvement in sound quality. It is also useful to temporarily improve the flatness of the LP; A warped or bent record changes the contact angle between the stylus tip and the record groove, resulting in sound distortion and additional lateral stress on the stylus.
