Description of ๐ŸŽธ Riverstone Audio - Rock & Roll 380 Record Weight Turntable Stabilizer (380 g) - Anodized Aluminum - Laser Engraved Surface - R&R Guitar - Color: (Aztec Gold) - Enhanced SEO

A RECORD WEIGHT WITH STYLE - Riverstone Audio's ROCK n' ROLL GUITAR-SERIES RECORD WEIGHTS - Music isn't boring, so why should a record weight be? These weights have it all, superb craftsmanship, good looks and, above all, the ability to enhance sound quality. The top surface of the Guitar Series weights have a finely detailed laser engraving of a classic 6-string electric guitar-- instantly dress up your turntable with artistic style and personality. BETTER SOUND - Improves contact between a record and platter to reduce the transfer of unwanted vibrations to a stylus. The reduction of extraneous vibrations reduces distortion - provides better detail, tighter bass and overall improvement of sound quality. Also helpful to temporarily improve flatness of LP's; a warped or bowed record changes the contact angle between the stylus tip and record groove - leading to audio distortion and additional lateral loading of a stylus. LESS STRESS ON MOTORS - The medium mass (380 g) of the R&R 380 makes it well suited for use on most turntables, including vintage turntables. The medium mass requires a lower starting torque and the low profile/precision machining reduce wobble which lowers axial and radial loading of motor/spindle bearings during record playback. LOOKS GREAT ON ANY TURNTABLE โ€“ The R&R 380 record weights not only improve sound quality, they are a work of art, and ergonomically designed for easy gripping. The exquisite surface finish was obtained by a process that involves multi-step glass beading, hand polishing and anodizing for surface protection and color. Looks great on and off a turntable. LOW PROFILE - Fits under most dust covers; however, best to measure before ordering (requires approx. 36 mm from record surface to underside of dust cover). foam-lined wooden box is included to protect the record weight when not in use. Spec's: Mass 380g, 34.5 mm height, max. diameter (at base) 80 mm, spindle hole 7.25 mm dia. x 20 mm deep. Laser engraving: 6-string electric guitar. Color: Aztec Gold - satin finish.

If you buy one, just buy this one!

I like everything about this weight. Look fit and ready. And the price! I've been researching the weight for a while and this one fits right in. Fits my Technics SL-1300 lid down and deerskin floor mat over stock rubber. Couldn't be happier! Ouch! And a gift box!

Pros
  • LOOKS GREAT ON ANY PLAYER โ€“ The R&R 380 record weights not only improve sound quality, they're also state-of-the-art and ergonomically designed for a comfortable grip. The exquisite surface finish was achieved through a process that includes multi-step glass grinding, hand polishing, and anodizing to protect the surface and color. Looks great on and off the turntable.
Cons
  • not reliable

Hopefully not too heavy for a vintage turntable.

Not sure if it will get too heavy for my vintage turntable over time or not. A few cuts seem to improve the sound, but this can result in motor or bearing overload. Nice packaging, aesthetically cool item itself, heavy. Keep it on your nightstand, in the passenger seat, in your purse or gym bag, or in your favorite prison stocking in case you need to hit someone in the head with a blunt object. The thing doesn't play.

Pros
  • RECORD WEIGHT AND STYLE - RECORD WEIGHT ROCK 'N' ROLL GUITAR SERIES by Riverstone Audio - Music isn't boring, so why should it be a record weight? This scale has it all: excellent workmanship, beautiful optics and above all the possibility to improve the sound quality. The top of the Guitar Series weights feature a precision laser engraving of a classic 6-string electric guitar - add instant artistic style and personality to your turntable.
Cons
  • Out of fashion

That is so cool !

Nice and heavy! I really like it, the box is wooden with a nice metal clasp hook, the box itself is a great display. I didn't notice any improvement in sound. If you're reading the manual for my Technics SL-Q300 direct drive turntable, be warned not to use any of these weights. I agree, the item on top of the box looks great on the music shelf next to my turntable. I play guitar so I love the graphics, I have it in blue, the graphics are awesome! I would take it just because it's cool! So evenโ€ฆ

Pros
  • ENHANCED SOUND - Improves record-to-disc contact and reduces transmission of unwanted vibration to the stylus. By reducing extraneous vibrations, distortion is reduced - for better detail, tighter bass and an overall improvement in sound quality. It is also useful to temporarily improve the flatness of the LP; A warped or bent record changes the contact angle between the stylus tip and the record groove, resulting in sound distortion and additional lateral stress on the stylus.
Cons
  • No power
