Review on Assemble Hamsters Digging Container Chinchilla by Michelle Rogers

My hamster loves it

I think my hamster loves it! When he's outside he almost always vibrates in this box, he's got enough cover to feel safe and enough variety in scenery to keep his tiny brain entertained. I used this for the coir substrate instead of the sand bath as my hamster loves to burrow in it (he has a sand bath at home). It was easy to assemble and had a lot of space in it! He put a roll of toilet paper in it himself, but he's the right size for the scale and he's a robot hamster. I've used a small wooden plate elsewhere and put his regular food bowl in place first, but he likes to climb on it so I left it open. no place for stilts. Since hamsters need at least 7-8 inches of litter, I place a sand bath on top of the box so that it's about level with the rest of the litter but has an empty space underneath (I don't want to just put linens underneath so it not crushed). All sand buckets have this problem so I wouldn't say it's really something to consider when making a purchase, but from a home planning perspective it's an important thing to consider. Ideally, if you have a larger house for your hamster, you can just put it on the flat end and you'll be fine! My hamster house is a bit small, 465 square meters. m, so I don't have a room. I've been looking for other shelters to place underneath as some of them will definitely work.
