Perfect little jug to make multiple servings quickly prepare alkaline water. Yes, it's small and the sump portion (the bottom of the pitcher) only holds about ONE liter of purified water. It quickly processes ONE liter. It then takes a LONG time for the remaining water to filter to the bottom. The water tastes great and feels "smooth". The jug is obviously doing its job of filtering out impurities. I wish I could choose how basic I want my water to be. For those with toxic bodies, you need to start slow or you'll get detox symptoms. I had to buy another regular jug with a water filter (which doesn't alkalize the water). I mix the 2 so the alkalinity is lower to prevent detox symptoms while trying to slowly detox my old body.
