After hearing about graphite pads as a replacement for thermal paste, I was very excited! I've already installed a thermal graphite IC pad on another computer with great success (needed a BIOS flash to support the CPU, and the reusable pad made it easy to switch processors!). For my build I bought it because I wanted "higher performance" in terms of W/mk compared to the graphite thermal IC pad. After initial install, thermal performance was good on my broken 8700K (without overclocking). About a day later I removed the radiator and found that the gasket "stuck" to the radiator. Not sure where this "moisture" came from to make it stick, I live in dry CO. To reinstall the CPU cooler, the gasket must be removed from the heatsink and placed on the CPU - the edges of the gasket will curl up. the rest of the pad when the heatsink is turned upside down, which can lead to faulty contact. After reading reviews that this pad is delicate, I took extreme care in separating the pad from the heatsink. First I used tweezers which just ripped off the corner of the pad. FAIL! Then I tried to just pull it out with my fingers, again very carefully. This time we continue to stretch the block, stretching it slightly. In general, it was installed again. A day later I had to disassemble the CPU cooler again and when I tried to remove the gasket this time it broke. If the marketing material for this product was honest, it would say "disposable carbon pad". This is how it should be used. If you need a reusable pad, buy the IC Thermal Graphite Pad.
