We have just redesigned our kitchen and the cupboard next to the breakfast table is called a toaster box. The plan was to make it look like furniture, like a house, and ALWAYS have the toaster plugged in as my husband LOVES his toast and we have a vintage 50's toaster that we love. As the kitchen was planned I didn't realize this would be a problem but they placed an electrical outlet right in the middle of the back of this cage. White housing, white back, white socket. Then we plug in our vintage brown cable toaster and I just don't like the way it looks. (Why didn't we put the outlet under the countertop?) I had the idea of a very short extension cord, white, with a flat plug just to blend in with the surrounding space. Much cheaper than moving an outlet or adding another outlet. I ordered a cable from Amazon which said it was a 12 inch cable. Its total length was 12 inches (the cord part was 6 inches) and it was too short. I sent it back and ordered another one saying it should be 18 inches. However, the cable itself was 22 inches long and almost 26 inches long overall. It worked but there was too much cord behind the toaster. Also, it was an angled flat fork, but it was angled the WRONG way for my needs. It got better, but not by much. Then VIOLA! I found this cable and the description gave what the actual dimensions of the cable were. It seemed to work and the price was very comparable to other cables I've tried. I like that the flat end cap can be rotated in any direction. It's a cord strong enough to handle the electrical needs of a toaster. I understand you shouldn't remove the tag, sorry. The length is amazing. I also like that the cable itself is flat instead of round. I understand most people will be using these cords behind furniture or appliances, but I love how they fit the needs of our particular situation. Not too big, not too small, JUST RIGHT! (See my before and after photos --- agree!)
