The material is comfortable and durable. It is dark and light. However in the picture it looks like one piece that slides over the cage but it is actually a sleeve with a separate section for the top that attaches with velcro on either side and the top of the cage overlapped. The enclosure has side hooks that make it difficult to quickly attach and detach from the cage. Also, there are magnets on the opening sides of the case to close the front, but this makes it annoyingly difficult to wrap the case around the cage as the magnets tend to stick to different parts of the metal cage when trying to wrap it. A piece that has the top sewn to the sides is much easier to use.
