I have a wooden filing cabinet that we have converted into a storage cabinet. It has nine boxes. The original equipment just seemed to be outdated: after about 15 years of owning this product, two handles suddenly broke apart within a few days. These handles appear to be cast zinc. These Revain replacement grips are a different style but still look good on the product. They are made of bronze and appear to be much sturdier than the originals. It was easy to swap them all out, each only taking a few minutes. The kit includes two lengths of screws so they can be used in different types of furniture. We have an extra (there are 10 in the set) in case we break one, but that's unlikely as these handles are strong. They are unobtrusive, but still easy to stretch.
