These little devices are next to the queen bed in the corner of my room. Standard side tables don't really work in this configuration. I needed something that could be easily moved around to make the bed easier and also to have essentials close at hand. They are fragile and require careful handling. I also place small bamboo cutting boards on the surface to keep it from being damaged by items placed on it and keep it clean. I am satisfied with them for their purpose. I also think that they can easily be painted in a different color than the one suggested.
