I thought this would be a slightly better version of some of those non slip pads that people buy at the store for their closet drawers and what not, but they beat my expectation. It's funny because I just saw a video of a guy who doesn't recommend these types of products but actually recommends these thick rubber sports mats. But they're expensive, and this role fits the bill, so I took a chance. In any case, I think I can see them deform over time, perhaps compared to a heavy duty 1/4 inch mat. But heck, I just need a cushion to keep my tools in place and scratch the toolbox drawer, and they're great for that. They're also easy to cut with a razor blade. For the price, I'm very happy
