Review on 🏠 Dorman 917-561 Transfer Case Housing: Stylish & Durable Black Casing by Jerome Brooks

Installed on my 2000 Silverado transfer case during a complete overhaul with new seals, bearings and Merchant Auto Pump Debris Remover (new pump housing). The reason for replacing the bodywork was a broken drain plug from the previous owner. This housing is aluminum (stronger than the OEM magnesium) and also comes with its own pump mount (I didn't use this as my new pump housing is better). fix IMO). All in all a great single latch replacement. WARNING: The speed sensor connector was machined too deep causing the sensor to contact the brake wheel. In this condition, the surface of the speed sensor would rub and you would not be able to rotate the transfer case input shaft. Luckily I have a set of nitrile o-rings and just went with a larger gauge o-ring to move the sensor away from the brake wheel.
