They are not waterproof! If it rains more than lightly for a long period of time, your seat will get wet. I've been using the same one for 2 months. He was on my bike the whole time. It covers a very soft and foamy seat that I wanted to protect from water absorption and long drying times. It took me a while to notice and maybe it was more effective at first, maybe it has a coating that's worn off but I doubt it. I think it took a few rainy days and actually checked the seat underneath. It's really frustrating that it works so poorly with exactly what it's advertised for and what I bought it for. The only reason I don't give more than 1 star in any of the categories is that it has stayed in good condition after prolonged use, hasn't cracked or chafed and also because it helps against fog and light/short rain because it's a physical barrier is.
