Review on G-Porter GP-102+ GPS πŸ“ Data Logger Multifunction Device (Blue) by Chris Hazzard

Revainrating 2 out of 5

It's cheap and not 100% reliable.

This thing offers some functionality along with endless frustration. I use it to jot down places and geotag my vacation photos. It usually lasts a full day of driving/hiking on a charge, but it's difficult to recharge. Once fully charged it will stop charging and start draining the battery so it may be incomplete at the start of the day and then shut off for the rest of the day. I've used it on a couple of vacations and it seems like after a trip I usually have a bunch of bad files - hopelessly corrupted, maybe someday's traces - that I just have to throw away. It only has about 3 megabytes of memory (about the size of two floppy disks. Seriously, could you add more?) And here's the thing: when memory is full, it continues to act like it's recording your tracks and never give you a warning. , but then you come home and have a bunch of 0 byte files. Oh, and the software that comes with it isn't good and keeps crashing on the 2 different computers I've tried it on. You can connect your device and upload .FIT files and then run them through an online converter to convert them to GPX or another more convenient format. . However, when it works and the files are intact, it seems to accurately record the position I took the photos from.

Pros
