Excellent set of knives! We have people with different knife skills in our house. We all love this knife set for different reasons. Steak knives are a great modern take on this concept. They look great and go well with our existing cutlery designs. Now you can set the table with a great steak knife without having cutlery that can't be compared to anything else on the table. This is a family favorite. Each of the kitchen knives in the block is also excellent. They tend to be light for their knife class. Their handles also have a subtle pattern that makes them easy to hold, whether you're holding the blade between your thumb and forefinger or holding the handle and using it to control the blade. Both methods work well with this set. If you tend to hold the blade, the balance is excellent and easy to hold. If you prefer to hold on to the handle, the blade is light and handy. Either way, these are really handy knives. If you want to make sure you have everything you need in the kitchen in one knife block, this can get the job done and does it very well. If instead you want to complement your existing kitchen knife set with blades that complement it well and look good on the counter, this set is great too. Is the sharpener misaligned in the knife block? Cherry on the cake! Edited review with some photos. Yes, the long knife in the set is indeed long enough to fillet a chicken breast on the long end, not the short end, and it does it well. There isn't a task in the kitchen that I wouldn't find one of these blades the right tool for the job.
