We just moved to a new location and needed to hang a lot of photos and frames, so we have this laser level to help us align them properly and this Hychika laser level was perfect for this purpose, it helped us line up all our shots correctly. once we learn how to use it properly. BUILD QUALITY. The thing about laser levels is that most of them are very expensive. slightly in the $40 to $80+ range. So given the low price of $25 for this level, you would expect cheap quality. That couldn't be further from the truth, however, as the build quality of this laser level is excellent, with a durable rubberized body thick enough to carry around in your pocket. Two batteries are also included in the scope of delivery. USE - There are two main modes of this laser level. Self-alignment by up to 3 degrees in X and Y axis, as well as a fixed mode that allows you to align the laser projections however you like. You can also switch rays on the X and Y axes, or project both onto walls. Includes magnetic mount and standard tripod screw for horizontal attachment. You have to make sure you don't reach the level in self-leveling mode as it will level itself under gravity. There is a red and green indicator that shows successful auto-leveling. Good build quality - Easy to use - Carry case included - Value for money NOT LIKE - As mentioned earlier there are two main modes of operation for this level - Fixed and Self Level. However, the switch on the side has three stages - lock, unlock, and the third stage seems to lock the planes on one of the axes. However, this third step is not explained in the instructions and it confused us a lot at first. For this reason I am deducting a star. FINAL THOUGHTS If you are looking for a cheap laser level for home use, mainly for simple home projects like leveling frames, recessed lights. Then this laser level is perfect for that. You don't really need a fancier or more expensive level for these tasks as this one does the job well.
