Review on 📪 Gibraltar Decorative Medium Capacity Galvanized Steel Black Mailbox & Post Combo, T11KIT0B by John Munajj

We cemented the post part of the mailbox and it held up very well! Unfortunately, I wish I was more impressed with the mailbox part itself. In particular, we encountered two distinct problems. The largest has a bracket to hold the mailbox to the post. The top of the rack fits the bracket decently (maybe a little tighter), but it's pretty close to what you need. However, the post holes and the bracket holes (ours at least) weren't on the correct or matching sides, so it wasn't possible to reinforce them with a screw to hold them together (unless you were trying to find replacement parts) . . Yes, without a lot of DIY, the bracket will still sit on top of the rack, but it won't stay put. We had to try different methods to make it stronger and only the Gorilla Glue helped it stay strong and not come loose every time we open the mailbox. My other complaint was that the mailbox has become increasingly difficult to open over time. Sometimes we really have to make an effort. It's not rusty or anything, but I don't know if WD-40 would help either. So this mailbox is pretty average for me. It should be the best on the market, but for the most part the materials have worked and held up well (about 1.5 years now).
