When I first connected the pump I got a red alert and nothing worked. After disconnecting and reconnecting several times, it worked all day. Then the red warning light came on and it started. I disassembled and reassembled it following the instructions, but the red light is still on. I played with it for another 30 minutes before it started working again. There is no troubleshooting information in the instructions to tell you what the flashing warning lights mean. After it turned red the third time I sent it back. Reading online it seems that this brand is lucky.
