I like this vise and it has served me well. I wanted and used it to detail a Western Kamisori Razor. Wrapping of the handle with waxed linen cord. I also inspect my blade while holding it and other razors by it, will use it for cleaning small parts like 2-stroke carburetor components, repairing/gluing small items, cleaning firearm parts/barrels, modeling etc. It held tight for a smooth turn up. clean Formica surfaces it was used on while I worked, although I came back to it after a day of sitting with a lost seal. No problem, simply reset the suction. I use Ballistol to coat threads and slide rails for protection as I also use it on my razors. Good workmanship of the materials used and a good adjustment range. Get it if you're a handyman/hobbyist like me!
