Review on Polly's Medium Twister Bird Perch by Zach Flame

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Stare NEED it!

If you can only choose ONE perch for your bird's beak/claws, CHOOSE THIS! In short why: 3 weeks, only 1 perch, and the beak and claws are great again! There are few items that I consider absolutely invaluable for the health of my birds and this perch has become one of the items on this list. Long story: A starling's beak and claws grow incredibly fast because they are very industrious foragers, and unlike parrots, starlings hate being touched or not touched (in general), so pedi perches are a clean, hassle-free one Solution. I just got one of these for my starling from my local bird shop 3 weeks ago and my bird is in great shape again. His beak and claws became overgrown in the spring and summer forcing me to trim him which we both hate, none of the other pedicure basses worked or they stopped being effective and this was my LAST option I had tried. Literally. I must have spent over $100 on perches to try to clear his dentures naturally so we can maintain our trusting and loving relationship and best of all hands free. I thought it would be too rough, or uncomfortable, or difficult to wash, or... he'd hate it or something, but I was wrong! My dear boy has only been pecking this perch for 3 weeks and he has already lost touch of a crooked curve which indicates overgrowth of the beak. His nails, which sometimes had to be trimmed weekly to keep them from twisting their toes, are now completely straight and natural! That's only because his main seat (where he spends most of his time playing, singing, getting treats) is being replaced by this one. Because of this, I've been monitoring the undersides of his toes closely for sores, cuts, or damage, and I'm happy to report that his feet are clean and clean on the soles so far! I will update this as needed, but until then this review stands.
