Cool but useful? for household goods

My son asked me about one of these a few months ago and then I saw the scout leader with one. It was neat, but I had to wonder how often I light things up. Campfire, a few times a year, barbecue, candles in winter. Includes lighter in waterproof case, lanyard with emergency whistle, small micro USB cable, instruction manual with warranty card and smaller warranty card. The big one says 6 months, the smaller one says 12 months. I unpacked it, plugged it in and charged it for about 30 minutes until the blue charge light went off. The little safety latch on the case is a little fiddly, it takes good nails to open it, but when it's off you push the button and the lid opens. Press the small power button and a small X will appear with a hiss. It seems that something in this X or very close to it should catch fire. When trying to light something, I found the problem. It's too big to fit in every candle jar I have. Since the flame is so small I don't think I can use it to light my BBQ grill (I could light a stick and stick it in, but then why not just use a match?) This electronic design is built into a long lighter is definitely , would pique my interest and be more useful to me. It's been a long time since I've had a Zippo lighter but it seems to be the same size and has a little metal spring so you could probably put it in a Zippo case and it would work. Likewise, you could probably zip your zip into this case and it would work. It's small, light and as long as that little safety clip isn't engaged, it's easy to open and light. It's water resistant, or it says it on the case, plus it's really cool, those blue sparkles make a little X. I think it would be great to keep in my backpack for camping or camping emergencies, but I have one star lost by me because it doesn't work with the candles I have in my house or my grill.

Pros
  • Lighters and matches
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
