Excellent material. I didn't realize how synthetic they are, they're almost like sweatpants mixed with compression/yoga wear. Therefore, they are very breathable and quite warm. The small size fit me perfectly with a regular pant size of 28x32, with a 4 inch ankle opening my toes. So the 6 inch ankle opens from the floor to the bottom of the pant, allowing your shoes to breathe no matter how high your shoes are. As mentioned in another review, the elastic in the ankle straps is very sticky rubber that has serious grip. It doesn't tug on my ankle hair as I just pulled my pants up and then back down.
