GENERAL: I've had several card readers over the years and this one looked and felt head and shoulders head and shoulders straight out of the box. It's solidly built and has some weight, which actually matters since many others are so light they slide right off a desk or PC. Overall, it's like you'd expect more from "pro" hardware.
