the light works. I'm not thrilled with the runtime. The flashlight is also not very waterproof. Water got into my lantern and it freaked out until it was dry. My 100 lumen Cygolite performs much better in the water and never hits a drop. I think the 100 redesign was a mistake. They should have left a better charging cap, not the one on this flashlight. It should have a larger capacity battery so that it can run up to 100 in the same mode. Would I buy this lamp again, NO! I would buy 100. I use two lights on the back due to the nature of the animal in my area. April 5, 2018 (Update) The light is bright but it sucks. It is not on par with other Cygolites. I charged it up last night for today's trip. I had the longest flash time and I slowed it down to save power. I was gone 4 hours and when I got home he was dead. My 100 was still going strong. I would like to return this POS and receive another 100.5 April 2018 (update part 2). I called Cygolite support. My headlight is less than 3 months old but has passed the Revain return window. I spoke to Cygo tech support. I told them what the light does, which some other reviewers have said as well. I told them other Revain reviewers had the same issue. Support said it's the first time they've heard of this issue. He said this light is usually more reliable than my 100 lumen version. They gave me an RMA and I had to pay to send it back. The return cost me $3.75. He said they would either fix or replace everything and speed it up as soon as it got light. I will most likely get a new light as they don't have much in them. Circuit board, battery and LED which is probably part of the circuit board. So I'm either getting a new light or new guts. LOLI does not see a big problem in the return process. As for some of the other complaints about the light: 1) Bracket breakage. I have driven this light over 3,000 miles since receiving it on January 19, 2018 with no broken bracket. 2) Some have installation problems. There are multiple mounting options, seatpost, chainstay, bag, rack, etc. Wow! 3) not bright lol look at it directly you will see dots for a while. I like all the other cygolites, only this one was a failure and the cygo might not have worked well or just a couple from china, damn the chinese man/woman might have been hungry that day and couldn't concentrate. LOLA Anyway, I'll update after I get the flashlight and use it for a while. UPDATE April 14, 2018 Sent Cygo's flashlight as per their instructions. Shipping cost me €3.75. Cygo got the light, tested it and replaced it under warranty and now it's charging. Haven't ridden it yet as I received it in the mail less than 20 minutes ago. I turned it on and now it behaves as it should. I'll update after driving it around a few times and doing a few charge cycles. So far I'm happy with the support from Cygolite. August 21, 2018 Cygo replaced this flashlight under warranty in April 2018, it worked fine until I got caught in the rain yesterday. Now I have the same problem as before: due to leakage or condensation, the water in the lantern causes a malfunction. I can't turn it off. Light is POS. I will call Cygolite again to see what they will do. My Hotshot 100 is much better and has never let me down. This light makes me doubt Saigoµ. I'm sure they are aware of this issue but they won't admit it. Look at it. The lanterns have a water ingress issue. Normally a small amount of water will not damage the electronics of the light. Water just makes the light very unstable, it turns on by itself, changes mode by itself, it's all water. Anyway, I took the flashlight apart, dried the circuit board with a hair dryer and it worked fine. The sigil they use is useless in this light. I took some dielectric grease, lubricated both sides of the gasket and put it back together. It is now loading and working as it should. Sometimes I get caught in the rain and keep going, so we'll see what happens next time I get in. If it leaks again I'll seal it with goop. Also, the battery has a part number in it. So if one day the battery dies, a simple Google search should find a vendor who sells the battery. The battery is plugged into the circuit board. I ordered a different "Hotshot 100" not this flashlight. I've never had a problem with the Hotshot 100 or my Hotrod 50 Lumen light. August 22, 2018 I called Cygolite support and told them about my light. The person I was talking to this time didn't seem to care. I am sure that you are aware of the problems with this light. You also know that most people won't do anything if it fails. I haven't lost faith in Cygolights, just this one. Having disassembled the Hotshot Pro 150 and Hotshot 100 I can tell you they use the same battery. Because of this, the 150's battery life is shorter than other models.
