Received a pair of static climbing ropes like this this summer to hang the kids swing in trees. I am very satisfied with the quality of this rope. I prefer them to other ropes because the joints are sewn and more trained than my knots. In addition, the loops eliminate the friction of the rope on the swing connection. I've found that it's much easier to attach them to a wooden strap with a locking carabiner. I also like these ropes because they hold up better in the rain than chains.
