We use this on our door to allow the cat to come and go as she pleases. We used to have a doorstop but it could be moved or kicked and she yelled at the door in the middle of the night to be let out or let in - this solves the problem. She knows how to get in and out, the door never slams and everyone is happy.

I bought this because my little one already has a certain attitude and likes to slam the door. Much to her surprise, I put it on the edge of the door and the next time she tried to slam it, it didn't work! Not only does it protect little fingers, but it also prevents me from having to slam a door every 5 seconds when my little one knocks.

This is foam and not hard. Perfect for my daughter's door. She likes to close doors and this one doesn't close completely. My daughter is 4 years old, she can't reach and take it off. Easy to attach to the door. No tools are required. Not sure how long it will last as it foams. I like that my daughter didn't hurt her fingers. This is a must.

So far so good. This pinch guard prevents my 13 month old twins from slamming the door on each other and locking themselves in the nursery and then crying when they realize they are stuck. I've accidentally tried to close the door with it a couple of times and so far it's held up quite well to a stronger push/pull from an adult. I love that I can easily store it on the outside doorknob when closed. Door to child's room during sleep/night (I have a lever handle and haven't tried it on a handle).

Survived a 15 month old toddler and a 3 year old baby for about 3 months with a standard internal door, not much bullying/slamming in my opinion. I'm pretty sure the kid did it. A 6 inch piece of pool noodle replaced it and seems to work about the same for <1/6 the cost. Pool noodles don't have that high-quality, strong foam-like product, but a noodle forms a bunch (or several long) pieces that can be easily replaced when the foam starts to break.
