Review on πŸ›‘οΈ Protective Safety 1st Finger Pinch Guard: Secure Your Loved Ones from Accidental Finger Injuries by Tina Carrell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

If you have flimsy old doors, this may not be the best option for you.

I bought this to keep the door open for the cat to use the tray. Our house is a little older (circa 1910) and the doors appear to be a little thinner (just under 1 1/2 inches thick) than most made today. While the device appears to sit and stay on top of the door, it is not secured. It works, but due to the fact that the corner of the door is not square, the foam began to crack after a couple of weeks of use. We've had it for about a month and both sides have started tearing and I don't expect it to last more than another 1-2 months. I see that it would probably be better if the door was thicker, but it's sold for almost every door. Thin old doors clearly do not fit into this category.
