So far so good. This pinch guard prevents my 13 month old twins from slamming the door on each other and locking themselves in the nursery and then crying when they realize they are stuck. I've accidentally tried to close the door with it a couple of times and so far it's held up quite well to a stronger push/pull from an adult. I love that I can easily store it on the outside doorknob when closed. Door to child's room during sleep/night (I have a lever handle and haven't tried it on a handle). That means I'm less likely to lose it and more likely to think about replacing it when I open the door to let the octopus out, uh, kids. Edited September 7, 2014 to add: This small piece of foam was also survived by a child who has 8 front teeth and chews!
