Review on GeoSafari Learning: Exploring the World with Educational Insights by Cameron Kennedy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It just doesn't work the way we hoped it would. Stylus not recognized ☹️

So I ordered it for my daughter's 5th birthday. She loves studying land and geography. So I did quite a bit of research. I found this smart globe to have everything I was looking for so I bought it. When I opened the box and installed it, I knew I made the right decision. BUT shortly after putting 2 AAA batteries in the pen and testing it with my daughter, we found that even at maximum volume, it was a bit difficult to hear and decipher what Bindi Irwin was saying. It just wasn't clear enough. Also, almost 50% of the time, the globe didn't even recognize when the pen touched the globe. As a result, my daughter quickly lost interest in wet. Especially if it's a question to which she knows the answer. She then feels confident about only answering so the globe doesn't register her post even though she knows the correct answer. Very illogical, like a study globe for 5 years. In the end I returned this globe. Instead, I bought a globe of magical leapfrog adventures. It has a small screen of real footage related to a specific location. She loves it! It's also much clearer and easy to hear even when the volume is turned up 1/2. I recommend trying the frog's magic adventure globe before you buy this one. It was $35 less and it has downloadable content packs to expand the information beyond what it has to begin with. I really wanted the geosafari globe to work. My daughter LOVES Bindi Irwin. I wish the Geosafari globe worked better and was louder. However, she ends up VERY happy with Leap Frog's Magical Adventure Globe due to the Geosafari Globe's clumsy operation. Hope that helps!
