Review on 20X T5 17 74 73 3-3014SMD Instrument Gauge Dash Indicator LED Light Bulbs (White) by Micheal Wright

Revainrating 5 out of 5

These blue LEDs look amazing but require a little more work than Honda factory parts.

SPECIAL NOTE: THIS IS LED LIGHTS. IF THEY DON'T WORK: a) Make sure the LED leads are touching the metal pins. They can be twisted, but they're easy to fix. b) Remember that LEDs are polarity dependent. If they don't work, flip them over. c) Test on a 9V battery Spread the leads slightly and touch them at the battery terminals. If they don't work, swap the connections (swap + and -). You will work. d) Seriously, LEDs fail. If they don't work, revisit steps a through c to troubleshoot. I bought these for my 2006 Honda Element. They will work, but it should be noted that you must: 1. Remove the old bulbs from the twist/lock base. Be careful, just wiggling back and forth will pull out the factory bulb. Honda Genuine Parts sells the twist/latch mechanism and bulb as a unit. You will reuse turn/lock.2. Push the LED so it actually enters the anti-rotation feature. You will need to press a little harder to insert the wider part as the tapered part of the stem will not rotate/lock the LED.3. When you have replaced all your headlights, reattach the 2 clips on the back of the instrument cluster, turn the combination over so you can see the back of the twist/locks and turn on your headlights. You should see a blue light (or other color you purchased) glowing around the Twist/Lock. If you cannot see the light through the Twist/Lock base, turn off the light, separate the cluster, twist and pull out the Twist/Lock & LED, rotate 180 degrees and reinstall. LEDs require matching +/- connections. Factory lamps - no.

Pros

Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
