Review on Meguiar’s M100 Mirror Glaze Pro Speed Compound (32 oz): Achieve Professional-Level Paint Restoration by Devin Jirsa

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great with DA polisher - an improvement over Ultra-Cut Compound 105

Decided to use this in place of my regular Ultra-Cut Compound 105 from Meguiar. I've been using 105 for years as part of a 3-step process of finishing with a Porter Cable DA polisher (6-inch PORTER-CABLE 7424XP Variable Speed Polisher). I use a set of SPTA 6" 150mm polishing pads for polishing cars, a set of 5. Here are my steps: 1. Ultra-Cut Compound 105. Orange Gasket Spare Parts.2. Ultrafinish Polish 205. Blue Overlay ZIP. 3. Synthetic Sealant 2.0 Black overlay ZIP Has more cutting power than the 105 but I didn't notice the aggressive cutting that other reviewers did It also doesn't have any traces of powder like 105. I did two passes over the hood (2 year old car) and noticed an improvement in performance. After 2 passes of M100, 1 pass of 205 and 1 pass of Sealant 2.0 I still had a few micro scratches on the clear coat but less than I noticed with 105 after just 2 passes Conclusion - I recommend the M100 over the 105. More cutting power than the 105 but not overly aggressive No powder residue.
