Review on 35mm Danze DA507348N Ceramic Disc Cartridge for Single Handle Faucet - Enhanced SEO by Fred Whitehead

Perfect replacement for my 2009 Danze D457158 faucet. The new Danze faucet that replaces D457158 is called "Parma" . . When replacing the device, make sure that the original 3 O-rings come from the old cartridge. Mine is stuck in the faucet and needs to come out or the new cartridge will not fit properly because you will have two sets of o-rings. They look just like little red Mickey Mouse ears - all 3 o-rings are connected together. The old part number for this cartridge was A507348N. This valve operates with much less effort than the original which was worn out and leaking. The set screw that holds the handle to the valve requires a 2.5mm allen wrench - it took me a while to figure it out. There is a small rubber plug on the underside of the handle which must be removed to gain access to the handle set screw. I cleaned all the parts in the CLR and reassembled the locking ring and outer trim ring with a copper based anti-seize compound to make it easier to remove and apply plumbing grease to the cartridge's nylon handle - after 8 years it was hard to take on Part. Also, the retainer ring requires pliers to block the channel and care must be taken not to damage the adjuster/retainer ring threads as the decorative trim ring threads on the outside of the adjuster/retainer ring.
