Stable trolley for everything

My water softener has separate tanks for brine and resin. The salt tank holds 450# salt and is located in the basement just in front of the water clock. To gain access to the counter and other plumbing, I placed the brine tank on this nifty heavy-duty cart so I could wheel it to the side if needed. I usually completely drain and flush out the brine tank every two years. The trolley makes it easy to wheel the nearly empty tank down to the outside stairs in the basement and then manually tow it to the driveway. Just note that the cart has a hard bottom with a bulge in the middle that bulges horizontal service. You may need to make an adapter ring to keep the tank from tipping. The manufacturer should have made the surface concave instead of convex. Stupid action. I made my adapter from a 2 inch piece of foam packing material I had on hand. It's just a ring of styrofoam that fits around the edge of the cart, with a 6 inch cutout in the middle.

Pros
  • Little competition
Cons
  • Almost everything included
