For a few years I had a normal terry bathrobe. I've been to enough hotels with very good ones and I knew mine wasn't what I really wanted. So it's time to take a look around. The thing is, it's very hard to tell without researching online to get an accurate picture of the comfort, softness, weight, drape, and quality. I think it's easy to carefully choose a good robe and still feel like you didn't get your money's worth. I am very happy with this robe. The terry fabric feels nice: soft to the touch, with just enough weight to suggest that the material is still durable but not heavy. I was lucky enough to get a good selection at a good price.
